/In an excellent round for early week favourites, they recorded an 8.5 from 9 performance, which saw Bookie Knows Best take a two tip lead on the Head-to-Head Tipster Leaderboard. MoSHBODS_Marg was the only other Tipster to register the maximum possible score, and it now joins its MoSHPlay_Marg and ENS_Linear in joint 2nd.
The all-Tipster average for the round was 7.4 from 9, which took the season-long figure to 42.3 from 63 (67%).
Margin prediction was much stronger this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from Bookie_3’s 22.7 points per game to MoSSBODS_Marg’s 28.2, with the all-Predictor average coming in at 25.3 points per game, down almost 13 points per game on last week.
Bookie_3’s performance saw it leap three places on the Leaderboard from 4th into 1st. Elsewhere on the Leaderboard there were a few minor shuffles.
MoSHPlay_Marg remains best of the MoS trio and is now about 10 goals off the lead.
Log probability scores were all highly positive this week, but narrowly best for Bookie_LPSO, who therefore hung onto 1st place. Worst was MoSSBODS_Prob, who lies in 6th. MoSHPlay_Prob, still in 4th, remains the best of the MoS trio.
WAGERING
It was near comical at times this week, with just one of the nine bets a collect: a head-to-head wager on GWS.
All three Funds lost money, and, overall, the Combined Portfolio finished down by almost 8c - now the second-largest single round loss this season, replacing last weeks’ 5.2c. The Portfolio is now down by just under 12c on the season, that from a -10% ROT on a 1.2 turn.
