2021 - Round 10 : Overs/Unders

All four forecasters lowered their average expected totals by about 2 points per game this week, which sees the MoS twins expecting about 161 points per game, and the bookmakers about 163 points per game. The 2021 season average currently stands at 164.5 points per game, 85.7 for home teams, and 79.8 for away teams.

Once again, Investors face only two wagers this week, though they would have had a third but for the forecast of rain in Perth on Saturday.

Both bets are the more-familiar unders bets, with estimated overlays of about 8 and 16 points.

PREVIOUS RESULTS

Round 9 was a good one for the MoS twins and saw MoSSBODS record the lowest Mean Absolute Error (MAE) for Away Team Scores and Game Totals, MoSHBODS do the same for Home Team Scores, and Sportsbet do best only on Game Margins.

Overall, that means that Sportsbet now has the best season-long performance on Game Margins and Home Team Scores, and the TAB on Away Team Scores and Game Totals.

MoSSBODS both of its wagers last week, an unders bet with the TAB that left it with a 15 and 17 record, and an overs bet with Sportsbet that left it with a 4 and 5 record against them.

Overall, MoSSBODS finished on the right side of the Totals for both bookmakers in 8 of the 9 games, while MoSHBODS did the same in 7 of the 9 games. Across all games, MoSSBODS is now 43 from 81 (53%) against the TAB, and 42 from 81 (52%) against Sportsbet, while MoSHBODS is 41 from 81 (51%) against the TAB and 42 from 81 (52%) against Sportsbet.
