/Seven early bookmaker favourites won this week, though Home Sweet Home’s confusion was enough to drive the all-Tipster average a little lower than that. It came in at 6.9 from 9, with the MoS trio all recording top scores of 8 from 9. Only Consult The Ladder’s 6 from 9, and Home Sweet Home’s 4 from 9 fell below the bookmaker’s mark.
MoSHBODS_Marg moved to 30.5 from 45 (68%) and remains one tip ahead of MoSSBODS_Marg, and a further two tips ahead of Bookie Knows Best.
The all-Tipster average now stands at 26.8 from 45 (60%).
The Margin Predictors’ mean absolute errors (MAEs) covered a range from MoSHPlay_Marg’s 23.4 points per game to RSMP_Weighted’s 26.9 points per game, with the all-Predictor average coming in at 24.8 points per game per Predictor, down about 1.4 points per game on the Round 4 figure.
Bookie_LPSO’s performance was enough to move it into 1st place on the Leaderboard, ahead of Bookie_9 and MoSSBODS_Marg. The remainder of the MoS family are in 5th and 6th, behind Bookie_3.
Log probability scores were all positive this week and very similar, with the narrow best belonging to MoSHPlay_Prob. It remains in 3rd place, however, behind MoSSBODS_Prob, who retained top spot, and MoSHBODS_Prob, still in 3rd.
WAGERING
Investors’ streak of profitability was extended this week, as all three Funds returned a profit.
Overall, the Combined Portfolio rose by 2c, its second-largest single round rise this season, leaving it up 8.5c on the season, that from a 33% ROT on an 0.26 turn.
