2021 - Round 16 Results - Good Enough

Overall, the Head-to-Head Tipsters did only a little better this week than they did last week, the all-Tipster average coming in at 4.9 from 9, just one-tenth of a tip higher. There was, however, a greater range of scores, with four Tipsters bagging only 4 from 9, and three Tipsters bagging 6 from 9.

Amongst the Tipsters registering the maximum were MoSSBODS_Marg and MoSHBODS_Marg who, as a result, now have 1st and 2nd places respectively, outroght. MoSHPlay_Marg managed only a 5 from 9 and so fell one tip behind MoSHBODS_Margin.

MoSHPlay_Marg recorded the week’s best mean absolute error (MAE) amongst the Margin Predictors of 30.2 points per game, but this wasn’t quite enough to elevate it about its current 5th place on the Leaderboard.

The only movement on that Leaderboard was ENS_Linear’s climb into 9th above Bookie_3.

The all-Predictor MAE was 31.5 points per game, up about 5.5 points per game on last week’s average.

Amongst the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors, for the second week running, only the MoS trio recorded positive log probability scores, albeit small ones, as the Bookmaker trio again all registered slightly negative scores. Best amongst the field was MoSHPlay_Prob, although its score wasn’t enough to lift it into 1st spot on the ladder, which is still held by MoSHBODS_Prob.

WAGERS

Last week, the Dogs ensured that Investors enjoyed a strong return. This week their final quarter cruise meant that Investors saw only the tiniest of profit for the round.

That Dogs failure to cover left the Line Fund down 2c on the round, which was only slightly more than offset by the Head-to-Head Fund’s 2.8c gain, and the Overs/Unders Fund’s 5.4c gain.

The overall profit for the Combined Portfolio for the round was 0.2c, which moved it to a season-long profit of 14.0c, that from a +18.4% ROT on an 0.76 turn.
