2021 - Round 13 : On Delay

This week it’s taken until Tuesday for the last of the head-to-head and line markets to go up, so the bookmaker forecasts you see below are mostly from about 10:15am on Monday, but from 3pm Tuesday for the Port Adelaide v Geelong game.

Where we’ve ended up is that three games are expected to be decided by about a goal or less, one by about two-and-a-half goals, and the remaining three by three-and-a-half to five-and-a-half goals.

TIPS AND PREDICTIONS

For the Head-to-Head Tipsters, the only contention (Home Sweet Home aside) comes in the Eagles v Tigers game where there are three other dissenting Tipsters forecasting the upset, and in the Port Adelaide v Geelong game, where Consult The Ladder is siding with the underdog Cats. Given the apparent distaste that the MoS twins have shown towards the Eagles in their rating of them in recent years, it’s amusing that they’re two of the dissenting supporters of them this week.

Amongst the Margin Predictors, we have double-digit ranges in only the Swans v Hawks, and Roos v Giants games.

Of the 14 extreme forecasts, Bookie_3 and MoSSBODS_Marg have three each, and Bookie_Hcap, Bookie_9, and MoSHBODS_Marg have two each, leaving one each for the RSMP twins.

Amongst the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors, there are no games with double-digit percentage point ranges, the largest range of 9% points coming in the Swans v Hawks game.

MoSSBODS_Prob has four of the extreme estimates, as does Bookie_LPSO, while Bookie_RE has three, MoSHBODS_Prob two, and Bookie_RE one.

WAGERS

So attuned are the MoS twins’ views with those of the bookmakers’ this week, Investors have but a lone head-to-head wager on the Eagles.

Overall, the worst case is a loss of 0.6c for the Combined Portfolio, and best case is a gain of 0.6c.

To finish, here are MoSSBODS and MoSHBODS opinions about likely team scoring.

Commentary about these forecasts will come in the week's Overs/Unders blog and MoSHPlay’s various forecasts will be posted after the relevant team line-ups are made public.
