2020 - Round 3 Results - MoS Acceptable

I’m not a fan of byes at the best of times, even less so when they’re announced mid-round, but it seemed fairly inevitable that at least one of the 400 plus players would test positive at some point during the 2020 season.

Regardless, the solid performance of the MoS trio made for a fun weekend.

MoSHPlay_Marg, after a trio of team switches on the day of the game, ended with 6 correct tips from 8 games, which saw it take a one tip lead atop the Head-to-Head Tipsters, in front of ENS_Linear and MoSSBODS_Marg. The all-Tipster average came in at 3.7 from 8.

Only three of the Margin Predictors returned sub-30 MAEs for the round, the best of them MoSHPlay_Marg’s 27.1 points per game ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg’s and MoSSBODS_Marg’s 27.2 points per game. Those results moved MoSSBODS_Marg into top spot, about 8 points ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg, and 16 points ahead of MoSHPlay_Marg.

Amongst the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors, MoSHPlay_Prob paid a price for being too confident about Geelong’s and Adelaide’s chances, but still did enough to finish third behind MoSSBODS_Prob and MoSHBODS_Prob who were the only Predictors recording positive log probability scores.

MoSSBODS_Prob now heads the table, ahead of MoSHBODS_Prob and MoSHPlay_Prob.

WAGERS

(NB: This section has been corrected to reflect the actual 6 from 6 performance of the Overs/Unders Fund.)

It was another profitable round for Investors, with 10 collects from 11 wagers, and green ink for all three Funds.

That included a 2 from 2 performance by the Head-to-Head Fund, which moved it back into profit for the season, and a 6 from 6 performance by the Overs/Unders Fund, which left it with a 15 and 6 record for the season.

The Combined Portfolio is now priced at $1.084, this result coming now from a 42.4% ROT on a 0.2 turn of the Portfolio Funds.
