2018 - Round 7 Results - The MoS Twins Find Their Range

It was yet another good round for favourites, with eight of them winning again this week, taking Bookie Knows Best's season tally to 44.5 from 63 (71%), a tally matched only by ENS_Linear.

All together, five of the Head-to-Head Tipsters registered 8 correct tips and the all-Tipster average came in at 7.2.

MoSSBODS_Marg returned the round's best mean absolute error (MAE) of 23.6 points per game, a full point per game better than the next-best Predictor, ENS_Linear, with 24.9 points per game. As good as those results were, they were insufficient to move the pair from their 7th (ENS_Linear) and 8th (MoSSBODS_Marg) positions on the Leaderboard. MoSSBODS_Marg remains about 13 goals off the lead.

Further up that Leaderboard, Bookie_Hcap did enough to retain top spot with a 25.9 MAE, and Bookie_LPSO jumped three places from 5th to 2nd also with a 25.9 MAE.

Amongst the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors, MoSSBODS_Prob topped the group, with a log probability score a fraction better than MoSHBODS_Prob. They remain in 4th and 5th places on the Leaderboard, however, behind the bookmaker trio, which is now headed by Bookie_RE.

WAGERS

It was a return to profitability this week, in no small part due to the Roos' upset win against the Swans, which made up a little for the damage they did to the Combined Portfolio last weekend.

All three Funds were in the black for the round, and their total effect on the Combined Portfolio was a 2.6% gain.

That leaves the Combined Portfolio down now by 4.1c on the season, the result of a -6.3% ROI on about a 0.64 turn.
