2023 - Round 24 Results - That'll Do

If ever there was a week to take notice of each team’s ladder position, this was it, as just 4 of the 9 early-week favourites were successful, but 7 of the 9 teams higher on the competition ladder took the four points.

At the top of the Leaderboard, however, MoSHBODS_Marg managed 4 from 9 to now lead MoSHPlay_Marg, MoSSBODS_Marg and RSMP_Simple by two tips.

The all-Tipster average for the round was 4.6 from 9, which took the all-season figure to 136.1 from 207 (66%).

The Margin Predictors’ mean absolute errors (MAEs) were just a smidge lower this week, but far more variable. spanning a range from MoSSBODS_Marg’s 27.5 points per game to Bookie_9’s 32.8 points per game, with the all-Predictor average coming in at 31.0 points per game per Predictor.

The key movements on the Leaderboard were MoSHBODS_Marg’s move into 4th place, MoSSBODS_Marg’s move into 6th place, and Bookie_9’s drop into 7th. No other Predictor moved by more than a single spot.

Log probability scores were all very mildly positive this week, but marginally best for MoSHPlay_Prob and MoSSBODS_Prob. MoSHPlay_Prob remains 1st ahead of MoSSBODS_Prob, and now Bookie_OE, with MoSHBODS_Prob falling to 5th.

WAGERING

Whilst Sydney prevented the week from being a banner one for Investors, they nevertheless saw black ink for the 5th time in 6 weeks as both the Line and Overs/Unders Funds made profits.

All together, the Combined Portfolio rose by 0.9c, and is now up by 21.4c on the season, that from a 20.6% ROT on a 1.04 turn.
