2021 - Round 23 Results - And Then There Were Eight

The average Head-to-Head Probability Predictor tipped 6.4 of the 9 winners this week. MoSSBODS_Marg and Consult The Ladder registered round-best scores of 7.5 from 9, which saw MoSSBODS_Marg move three tips clear at the top of the Leaderboard and now on 132.5 from 198 (67%), ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg on 129.5 from 198 (65%) and MoSHPlay_Marg on 127.5 from 198 (64%).

So the MoS trio continue to fill all three positions on the dais based on the accuracy metric. The irony continues …

Amongst the Margin Predictors, honours went to MoSHPlay_Marg with a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 19.6 points per game, which was enough to see them climb three spots and into 6th on the Leaderboard.

Other moves saw the RSMP twins take the top two spots, an ENS_Linear continue its climb from last place.

The all-Predictor MAE was 21.8 points per game, almost two goals per game better than last week, and left the season-long all-Predictor average at 26.6 points per game.

Log probability scores were again all positive for all the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors this week, most of all for MoSHPlay_Prob. Scores for the five other Predictors were all very similar, which meant that MoSHBODS_Prob retained 1st place on the Leaderboard ahead of MoSHPlay_Prob and MoSSBODS_Prob.

WAGERS

The last three games of the round have been about as kind to Investors as the three rounds previously had been cruel. This round, in particular, was lucrative and produced the third-largest profit of any single round this season, despite the loss from the now-certain-to-be-in-its-final-year Overs/Unders Fund.

The overall round profit for the Combined Portfolio was 4.5c, which moved it to a season-long profit of 13.2c, that from a +10.6% ROT on a 1.24 turn.
