2020 - Round 5 Results - A Little Harder
/This week, tipping winners was a little easier than last week, but tipping margins was considerably harder.
ENS_Linear did best amongst the Head-to-Head Tipsters, selecting 8 of the 9 winners to move atop the Leaderboard by one tip from a pack of three pursuing Tipsters in the form of MoSHPlay_Marg, Bookie Knows Best, and MoSSBODS_Marg.
The all-Tipster average was 6.6 from 9, dragged down by Consult The Ladder’s 4, and Home Sweet Home’s 5.
The best mean absolute error (MAE) for the round belonged to Bookie_Hcap, just ahead of Bookie_3.
MoSSBODS_Marg was about a half a point per game further back, but that result was sufficient to leave it in 1st place on the Leaderboard, now about 11 points ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg.
The round’s worst MAE belonged to MoSHPlay_Marg, who now finds itself on the bottom of the ladder, albeit only about a couple of goals behind Bookie_Hcap in 5th.
All of the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors except MoSHPlay_Prob returned positive log probability scores for the second week in a row, with all three of the bookie-based Predictors registering roughly equal, best scores. MoSSBODS_Prob remains in 1st, however, ahead of MoSHBODS_Marg. MoSHPlay_Marg sits in last position.
WAGERS
Profit again this week, though only a modest one, as just 3 of the 6 wagers wound up as collects.
As was the case last week, it was the Head-to-Head and Line Funds making positive contributions, and the Overs/Unders Fund making a negative one.
The Combined Portfolio is now priced at $1.112, this result coming now from a 36.2% ROT on a 0.31 turn of the Portfolio Funds.
