2017 - Round 13 Results - MoSSBODS Narrows the Gap

Only three of the round's six favourites were successful this week, and none of the MoS Head-to-Head Tipsters did better than BKB's score of three.

The three Tipsters at the top of the Leaderboard all scored just 2 from 6, which left the situation exactly as it was going into the round with the two RSMP Tipsters two tips clear of MoSSBODS_Marg. RSMP_Simple and RSMP_Weighted are now the only Tipsters with better than 60% accuracy across the entire season.

The all-Tipster average for the round was just 2.3 from 6 and only five tips separate first from last on the Leaderboard.

The Margin Predictors fared a little better, producing an all-Predictor mean absolute error (MAE) of 25.9 points per game per Predictor.

Best was Bookie_9's 23.8 points per game, followed by ENS_Linear's (24.2) and RSMP_Weighted's (25.1). All of the Margin Predictors except MoSHBODS_Marg recorded sub-30 MAE's for the round.

That relatively poor performance by MoSHBODS_Marg allowed MoSSBODS_Marg to close the gap at the top of the Leaderboard. That gap is now only a touch over 3 goals.

ENS_Linear's strong showing saw it move up two places on the Leaderboard into 6th.

On line betting, it's still the case that all of the Margin Predictors except Bookie_3 and C_Marg have season-long profitable records, best amongst them MoSSBODS_Marg who's been on the right side of the handicap-adjusted score in 58% of games.

For the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors it was essentially a break-even round, with all six of them recording slightly negative probability scores, all of roughly the same magnitude. 

As a result, MoSHBODS_Prob has retained top spot ahead of Bookie_OE and Bookie_LPSO.

WAGERS

This week's net profit was all down to the Unders/Overs Fund, whose 4 from 4 performance was enough to overcome the Head-to-Head Fund's 0 from 1 and the Line Fund's 0 from 2 records.

Altogether, the week's profit amounted to 1.5% of the original Overall Portfolio, which leaves that portfolio up by almost 25% on the season (a 19% ROI on a 1.3 turn).
