2011 MARS Ratings After Round 7

Nine teams' ranking on MARS Ratings changed as a result of last weekend's contests, four moving up by a spot or three, and five moving down by a spot or two.

Sydney registered the greatest climb, leaping three spots over the Saints, Freo and Essendon, though a closer look reveals that the difference between the Swans' rating in 6th place and the Dons' in 8th is only 0.2 Rating Points. Fremantle registered the greatest decline in falling two spots as a consequence of shedding 5.1 Ratings Points courtesy of a 14-goal Tiger second-half mauling.

This wasn't the largest Ratings Point decline, however, since the Crows swapped 6.5 Ratings Points with the Dees on the back of their 96-point loss.

In other moves, Hawthorn grabbed 4th spot from the Blues, despite both teams gaining Ratings Points for the Round, and Richmond climbed to 14th ahead of the Lions, putting almost a 4-point gap on the Lions in doing so.

Eight teams now have Ratings above 1,000 and nine have Ratings below 1,000.
