MatterOfStats 2015 : Team Dashboard for Round 3
/It is, of course, still very early days in the life of the 2015 season, but it's interesting nonetheless that we have a couple of teams with 2 and 1 records but startlingly divergent percentages. The Western Bulldogs are one of those teams, sporting a percentage of just 85, and the Hawks are the other, sporting a percentage almost twice that at just over 166.
Given their aggregate Scoring numbers, the Dogs might reasonably have been expected to have won just one of their three contests, according at least to the Win Production Function whose outputs are shown on the right-hand side of the Scoring Shot Data section of the Dashboard.
In contrast, based on that same Win Production Function we might have expected the Eagles to have won two rather than just one game, and the Gold Coast to have perhaps snagged a single win rather than none at all.
The Quarter-By-Quarter Performance section reveals just how tough a season the Lions have endured so far having lost all of their 1st, 2nd and 3rd Quarters this year, and having won only a single 4th Quarter.
Also interesting to note is the fact that Fremantle, despite going undefeated so far this season, has won only one of three 3rd Quarters
