WoSHBODS tipped only 3 winners this week, just one fewer than the experts, and also recorded a Margin MAE of 39.5 points per game and a Totals MAE of 13 points per game. Very much a calibration round.

TEAM DASHBOARD

In the first Ranking on Dashboard Metrics chart we are unable to rank teams on Quarter Performances because at least one team either failed to score in Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4. That aside, the metric rankings currently most highly correlated with the competition ladder rankings are:

  • MoS Win Production Function: +0.98

  • Points Conceded: +0.97

  • Own Points Scored: +0.97

  • Goals Conceded: +0.95

  • Own Goals Scored: +0.95

  • % of Quarters Won: +0.86

  • Scoring Shots Registered: +0.82

  • Scoring Shots Conceded: +0.78

The metrics least correlated is:

  • Own Scoring Shot Conversion: +0.4

  • Opponent Scoring Shot Conversion: +0.49
