Only four of the nine early-week favourites were successful over the weekend, but ENS_Linear, the RSMP twins, and two of the MoS trio were contrarian just often enough to do better than that, which left MoSHPlay_Marg atop the Head-to-Head Tipster Leaderboard but now by only one tip from the RSMP twins and two from MoSHBODS_Marg.

1st and 7th remain separated by just 3 tips, and the all-Tipster average for the round was 4.9 from 9, which took the season-long figure to 85.3 from 135 (63%).

Margin prediction was much stronger this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from Bookie_Hcap’s 24.5 points per game to MoSHPlay_Marg’s 27.1 points per game, with the all-Predictor average coming in at 25.6 points per game, which is almost 7 points per game better than last week. The season-long all-predictor average is now 26.8 points per game per predictor.

The only movements on the Leaderboard were Bookie_Hcap and Bookie_LPSO leaping ahead of MoSHPlay_Marg, and Bookie_9 and ENS_Linear trading places.

The gap between 1st and 8th is now just 47 points.

Log probability scores were all moderately positive and fairly similar this week, but slightly higher for MoSSBODS_Prob and MoSHBODS_Prob. MoSHPlay_Prob remains in 1st place on the Leaderboard, however, ahead of Bookie_LPSO and, now, Bookie_RE.

WAGERING

Another week, another loss for Investors, unfortunately, with the Head-to-Head Fund the only one returning a profit for the round.

Overall, the Combined Portfolio finished down by 4c, which leaves it down now by 17.4c, that from a -7.5% ROT on a 2.3 turn.
