2024 - Round 25 : Overs/Unders
The MoS twins have higher Totals forecasts than the bookmakers in all but the Sydney Derby this week and, as a result, have an average expected Total three points higher than they.
WAGERS
MoSSBODS has just the one wager this, but it’s a relatively rare Overs wager. A second, similar wager was prohibited by the rain rule. Clearly MoSSBODS doesn’t recognise the traditionally lower scoring in Finals.
The estimated overlay for the games where we have a wager is under 5 points, so the bet size is just 1.5% of the original Over/Under Fund.
RAIN RULE
One potential overs wager was ignored last week, which would have been a loser.
Here’s the new summary.
PREVIOUS RESULTS
Honours for the lowest Mean Absolute Errors (MAEs) were shared this week, with MoSSBODS taking Game Margin and Away Team Scores, MoSHBODS taking Home Team Scores, and the TAB and Sportsbet sharing Game Totals.
No titles switched hands this week as the TAB held onto all four. The leaders and leads across all four metrics are now as follows:
Game Margins: TAB 13 points ahead of Sportsbet and 108 points ahead of MoSHBODS
Home Team Scores: TAB 10 points ahead of MoSHBODS and 21 points ahead of Sportsbet
Away Team Scores: TAB 10 points ahead of Sportsbet and 21 points ahead of MoSHBODS
Game Totals: TAB 9 points ahead of Sportsbet, and 93 points ahead of MoSHBODS
MoSSBODS had wagers on four games last week, all of them unders, all of them with the TAB, resulting in two wins and two losses.
It ended then at 31 and 40 with the TAB, and at 21 and 13 with Sportsbet, for an overall 52 and 53 record.
Across all games, MoSSBODS landed just 4 from 9 against the TAB and Sportsbet, which took it to 111 from 207 (54%) against TAB, and 113 from 207 (55%) against Sportsbet. MoSHBODS landed 2 from 9 against the TAB and against Sportsbet, which took it to 103 from 207 (50%) against both for the season.
Here’s the updated week-by-week forecasting performance of the twins, and the wagering performance of MoSSBODS.
