This week, six of the nine early-week favourites were successful, but there was sufficient contrarianism to produce Head-to-Head Tipping scores ranging from Consult the Ladders’s 4 to MoSHPlay_Marg’s 8.

The remaining Head-to-Head Tipsters all recorded scores of 6 or 7, which left MoSHPlay_Marg now two tips clear of the RSMP twins at the head of the Leaderboard, and three tips clear of MoSHBODS_Marg.

1st and 7th remain are now separated by a slightly more generous 5 tips, and the all-Tipster average for the round was 6.4 from 9, which took the season-long figure to 96,5 from 153 (63%).

Margin prediction was very strong this week, with mean absolute errors (MAEs) ranging from MoSHBODS_Marg’s 13.4 points per game to Bookie_3’s in-any-other-week-highly-acceptable 17.2 points per game, with the all-Predictor average coming in at 15.8 points per game, which is almost 9 points per game better than last week. The season-long all-predictor average is now 26.0 points per game per predictor.

There were a handful of movements on the Leaderboard, with RSMP_Simple and Bookie_Hcap swapping 2nd and 4th, and RSMP_Weighted nudging MoSHPlay_Marg into 7th.

The gap between 1st and 7th is, however, only 31 points.

Log probability scores were all comfortably positive and fairly similar this week, but slightly higher for MoSHBODS_Prob and MoSHPlay_Prob.

Bookie_LPSO nonetheless still holds 1st place on the Leaderboard, but MoSHPlay_Prob has moved from 4th to 2nd, pushing Bookie_RE into 3rd.

WAGERING

It was as near to perfect a round for Investors as you could be bold enough to wish for, with all three Funds returning a profit for the first time since Round 9, and the Combined Portfolio recording its 2nd-highest single round increase for the season.

Overall, the Combined Portfolio finished up by just over 8c, which leaves it down now by 13c, that from a -5% ROT on a 2.5 turn.
