2019 - Round 10 Results - A Really Simple Weekend

Seven favourites were victorious this week, so head-to-head tipping results were generally good, though none of the MoS Head-to-Head Tipsters managed better than seven from nine. The RSMP twins were two of those that bagged seven which, in RSMP_Simple’s case, was enough to drag it into equal leadership with a slightly out of form MoSHPlay_Marg who bagged only five.

The pair are now tied on 58 from 90 (64%), just one tip ahead of Bookie Knows Best, ENS_Linear, and RSMP_Weighted.

The all-Tipster average for the round was 6 from 9, dragged down partly by the success of only four home teams.

Mean absolute errors (MAEs) were again absurdly low this week, so much so that a MAE of 15 would’ve been good enough only for 8th amongst the MoS Margin Predictors.

The best MAE this week belonged to RSMP_Weighted (12.5), which saw it move past RSMP_Simple and MoSSBODS_Marg into 1st place. MoSSBODS_Marg had the second-worst MAE of the round and finished it in 3rd, down two spots.

MoSHPlay_Marg also had a relatively disappointing round, its MAE of 17.9 points per game seeing it slip three places into 9th and now 92 points off the lead.

All of the Head-to-Head Probability Predictors again registered positve log probability scores this week, with Bookie-RE narrowly the best of them, and C_Prob once again the worst. MoSSBODS_Prob retained 1st place ahead of MoSHBODS_Prob, but MoSHPlay_Prob slipped back to 6th.

WAGERS

Investors recorded their first loss this week as two Sunday afternoon and evening collects on head-to-head betting weren’t quite big enough to overcome earlier losses on line betting.

In total, the Head-to-Head Fund made a small profit on 2 collects from 4 wagers, while the Line Fund made a loss on just 1 collect from 3 wagers.

Together they made a loss for Round 10 of 2.2c, which took the Combined Portfolio’s price to $1.201, this lift coming now from a 23.0% ROI on a 0.87 turn.
