MoS Win Production Function Expected Wins (+0.9)
Own Scoring Shots per Game (+0.9)
Own Goals per Game (+0.89)
Q3 Performances (+0.79)
Q1 Performances (+0.74)
Least highly correlated are:
Own Scoring Shot Conversion (+0.17)
Opponent Scoring Shot Conversion (+0.46)
Q4 Performances (+0.49)

All eight of the Top 8 teams on the MoS Win Production Function sit in the Top 8 spots on the competition ladder.
Sydney are 1st on all but four metrics
The teams in the Top 8 on the ladder are all in the Top 9 on Own Scoring Shots per Game
The teams in the Top 8 on the ladder are all in the Top 8 on Own Points per Game
Essendon have the 4th-worst percentage
Adelaide are 15th but have a percentage above 100

Only four teams have a winning streak extending beyond two games: Brisbane Lions, GWS, Western Bulldogs, and Hawthorn,
Only four teams have a losing streak extending beyond two games: Essendon, West Coast, North Melbourne, and Richmond. Three of those teams are in 16th, 17th, and 18th.
North Melbourne have converted at 62% across all four quarters
Richmond have converted at only 47% across all four quarters
GWS’s opponents have converted at only 48% across all four quarters, West Coast’s at 57%.
GWS have won only 42% of Q4s and have a 91 percentage for that quarter.
Richmond, North Melbourne, and West Coast have been outscored by their opponents in every quarter
The only teams to have outscored their opponents in every quarter are Brisbane Lions (just), Fremantle and Western Bulldogs.
Brisbane Lions, Fremantle, Port Adelaide, Sydney, and Western Bulldogs are the only teams to have registered more scoring shots than their opponents in all four quarters. North Melbourne, Richmond, St Kilda, and West Coast are the only teams to have registered fewer scoring shots than their opponents in all four quarters.
Port Adelaide have converted at only 42% in Q4s and Richmond at 37% (and 44% in Q2s). West Coast have converted at only 43% in Q3s, and Brisbane Lions at 44%.
Carlton have converted at 61% in Q4s, and North Melbourne at 63% and GWS at 61% in Q1s. North Melbourne have converted at 64% in Q2s and GWS at 62%.
Sydney’s opponents have converted at only 36% in Q2s whilst they themselves have converted at 63%.
West Coast’s opponents have converted at 64% in Q2s, and Carlton’s at 65% in Q2s.
