MatterOfStats 2015 : Team Dashboard for Round 20

This week, seven of the eight teams currently filling Finals positions won, the most we could have expected since 1st and 2nd were paired off. Those results leave us with a clear Top 8, the gap between the Crows, in 8th, and the Cats, in 9th, now a full game.

Twelve teams have now scored at least as many points as they've conceded, including Port Adelaide, who sit 12th on the ladder with a percentage of exactly 100.

On a team-by-team basis, the largest anomalies (5 places or more) between ladder position and ranking on a Team Dashboard metric are as follows:

  • Adelaide: 8th on the ladder but 3rd on Own Scoring Shot Production, 15th on Opponents' Conversion Rate, and 14th on Q1 performances
